‘The Owl’ nearing completion

THE OWL Onesheet

Myself and Peter Gurbiel’s new film ‘The Owl’ is nearly done. It deals with some really heavy material, but I’m so proud of the way we’ve executed our narrative. For a short film, it’s kind of long at 22 minutes – but that’s deliberate. The film has a very particular filmic pace, something that Editor Lawrie Silvestrin played closed attention to. The film has amazing performances. This was one of the first times I was able to really focus on performance, whilst Pete did an incredible job putting the production together. We should be screening the film sometime this year, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what people think of it.

By the way, it should be noted that Pete’s new company HOMETOWN PICTURES is no live. As is our Official Facebook page for the film. Photo by Arun Thongjaj (http://www.schmickphotography.com/)
